If you want to make any recipe egg free you can substitute applesauce for eggs without a problem. Just make sure you put in three tablespoons of applesauce per egg. But don’t worry, it will still be just as moist and it will bind the recipe and usually, because most recipes call for baking powder or baking soda, it will still rise.
