QUEENS COOKS is a Documentary Web Series, created by Astoria Film Festival Film Fellows as part of a Documentary Filmmaking Workshop, highlighting local food entrepreneurs at the QEDC’s Entrepreneur Space in LIC NY.
Culiraw (Raw Vegan Desserts)
Silvia Vidova began CULIRAW because she was having gut problems and found that going vegan helped. Her sweet tooth then led her to investigate how to create the desserts she loved and make them vegan and gluten-free.
Culiraw does NOT use flour, processed sugar or dairy products, making their desserts the perfect option for celiacs, diabetics, and those with lactose intolerance. Culiraw desserts are only made of natural, organic ingredients with only dates and agave to sweeten things up.
Culiraw products are available all over the NYC area. Find out more at

Astoria Film Festival used this series production as the basis for our Documentary Lab for Summer 2022, and to give our Film Fellows time and experience on-set and in pre and post production. Fellows were supervised and guided by our Executive Director.
