LEARN HOW TO MAKE A CHINESE STYLE HOT + SOUR SOUP RECIPE WITH NOODLES
LAY HO MA!! Hot and sour soup is definitely one of my favourites of all time. It’s addictively good and it’s really easy to make at home. To make it into more of a meal, you can even serve it up with some noodles! Join me in this episode and learn how to make an easy vegan hot sour noodle soup recipe. Let’s begin
Ingredients:
3 cups vegetable stock (https://youtu.be/G8Sygrs76nc)
3 large cremini mushrooms
100g extra firm tofu
1/4 bamboo
3 sticks green onion
small bunch broccolini
70g ramen noodles
1 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp black rice vinegar
1 tbsp cane sugar
1 tsp chili powder
2 tbsp chili oil (https://youtu.be/IkBWsfsEVkM)
Directions:
1. Heat up a pot with the veggie stock on medium high heat
2. Slice the mushrooms. Slice the tofu into strips. Thinly slice the bamboo. Chop the green onion
3. When the stock starts to bubble, add in the mushrooms, broccolini, bamboo, and tofu
4. Add in the noodles. The starch from the noodles will thicken the soup. The noodles used in this episode will cook in 4-5min. Remember to gently stir the noodles to keep them from sticking
5. Add in the soy sauce, rice vinegar, cane sugar, and chili powder. Give it a stir
6. When the noodles are done, transfer to the serving bowl
7. Garnish with the green onion and a couple drizzles of chili oil
