The Colon Cleanse Juice Cocktail – Serves 1
1 cucumber, peeled if not organic 1 handful spinach, washed
1 handful parsley, washed 1 rib celery, washed
1/4 medium lemon, peeled
Cut your produce to fit your juicer.
Liver Cleane Beet Cucumber Cocktail
• 1 cucumber, peeled
• 3 carrots, scrubbed well, tops removed, ends trimmed
• 1 beet with stem and leaves, scrubbed well
• 2 ribs of celery
• 1 handful parsley
• 1-2 inch chunk ginger root, scrubbed or peeled if old
• 1/2 lemon, peeled
Cut produce to fit your juicer. Juice all ingredients and stir. Pour into a glass and drink as soon as possible.
If you have sugar metabolism issues, reduce carrot and beet juice.
Serves 1-2
Kidney Tonic
(Parsley and celery are kidney tonic juices.)
1 cucumber, peeled if not organic 1 handful parsley
1 rib celery
1/4 lemon, peeled or a handful of mint 1/2-inch piece of ginger root
Cut the produce to fit your juicer. Juice it up! Enjoy!
Note: Cucumber, watermelon, cantaloupe with seeds, asparagus, lemon, kiwifruit, and parsley are all considered natural diuretics.
Lung Detoxifier Juice
Turnips, watercress, turmeric and garlic are especially helpful for cleansing the lungs.
1 bunch watercress
1 cucumber
1 turnip
3 large carrots
1 garlic clove
1-inch chunk fresh turmeric
1 lemon
1/2 apple
Cut produce to fit your juicer. Enjoy!
Note:
1) A study in 2,478 people found that curcumin (the active ingredient in turmeric) intake was associated with improved lung function.
2) Studies show that apple intake is associated with a slower decline in lung function in ex-smokers. Additionally, consuming five or more apples per week is associated with greater lung function and a reduced risk of developing COPD
Beautiful Skin Cocktail
Serves 1-2
1 cucumber, peeled
1 parsnip, peeled
2-3 carrots, scrubbed well, tops removed, ends trimmed
1/2 lemon, peeled
1/4 green bell pepper
Cut produce to fit your juicer. Juice ingredients and stir. Pour into a glass and drink as soon as possible.
Note: Cucumber and bell pepper are good sources of the trace mineral silicon, which is recommended to strengthen skin, hair, and fingernails along with bones. In studies, silicon has been shown to reduce signs of aging such as the improved thickness of skin and reduced wrinkles.
