What Is Nama Chocolate?
Nama chocolate, popularised in Japan by the brands Royce and Meiji, is a type of ganache. It’s sold in neat pre-cut blocks dusted with cocoa powder and often flavoured with tea or a liqueur.
Ingredients (9 cm x 9 cm sq.)
*1cup=240ml, 1Tbsp=15ml

Homemade Cashew Cream
• ½ cup raw cashews, soaked overnight
• ½ cup water
Chocolate
• 100g vegan dark chocolate
• ½ cup homemade cashew cream
• 1 Tbsp maple syrup
• 1 Tbsp liqueur (optional)
• Cacao powder (for decoration)
Instructions
1. Make cashew cream.
2. Add chocolate and cashew cream to a small saucepan over medium heat. Once the chocolate starts to melt, remove from the heat and whisk until the chocolate is fully melted.
3. Add maple syrup and whisk together.
4. Pour into a mould. (We recycled almond milk carton into a mould)
5. Place in the fridge overnight.
6. Cut gently with a hot knife. Dust with cacao powder.
